Mother/Daughter Sept. 15 & 16 at Philly Fringe
I am my mother’s daughter. Am I?
Join us at the 2018 Philly Fringe Festival for an exploration of the dynamic relationships between mothers and daughters as we present Mother/Daughter.
Mother/Daughter will crack open topics such as identity, sexuality, work, culture, feminism, fertility, and loss.
Mother/Daughter is a chance for us to delve deeper into notions of womanhood explored in a 2017 production of The Vagina Monologues and the 2018 debut of original EBP piece V2:Creation Myth.
In keeping with our mission to give voice and venue to local writers and visual artists working to mount productions that give back to our community, Mother/Daughter was written based on individual and composite experiences of Philadelphia women who participated in interviews and listening sessions.
Mother/Daughter’s debut in September’s FringeArts Festival will mark the beginning of a collaborative partnership among EBP, photographer Joanna Nowak, and audio documentarian and storyteller Hillary Rea.
September 15, 8pm & September 16, 2pm (w/ talkback)
